Well, it is the last stretch before my final weigh-in. I had hoped to lose more than my original goal, but I will be happy reaching the goal I set, and then setting the next goal, to continue to lose more. Once you have the momentum going, it is much easier to maintain the same lifestyle, rather than just stopping.
I have always liked cauliflower, but hated it a bit at the beginning of my weight loss journey. It seems that the one-eyed cauliflower monster and the evil broccoli elves from my Christmas poem have turned into friendly beings. I actually look forward to eating my cauliflower and broccoli snacks now, as those items have become a regular part of my diet, rather than the occasional side dishes they were before.
I have had to catch a few of life’s unexpected curve balls along the way, but thus far, I have managed to prevail. I still walk every day, choosing to be a pedestrian, but now that the weather is getting better in New England, I am able to walk more.
I also found out that sugarless Ruby Red grapefruit juice tastes just as good as the one with sugar. Who knew? Eating earlier in the day, and having more healthy snacks throughout the rest of the day, as opposed to one meal in the early evening seems to make a huge difference, not only in weight loss, but also in increased energy levels.
This has been a good experience for me, and I still have ten more days to go. Therefore, stay tuned, because I look forward to making the official announcement that I have reached my twenty-pound weight loss goal, AND that my husband’s ex will not receive any of my money. HAHA
Until next time – NO DEFEAT … NO LIMITATIONS!
